Falling Microsoft Pubcenter Ad Revenue

Pubcenter, why do you mock me!

As you can see below, for some inexplicable reason towards the end of  September the ecpm’s from Microsoft Pubcenter dropped to a fraction of what they were. You can see my impressions are pretty steady over the period and there was nothing else that was changed within that time.

It takes me almost a month to get what I was getting in three days prior.

This inexplicable drop in ecpm / revenue has really done a number on me, I’m really struggling to garner enough motivation to update both Windows 8 and Windows Store versions of the app. If Microsoft want to encourage developers to embrace the various new platforms, they need to keep on top of this and put in mechanisms to avoid these wild fluctuations and prop up the platform as much as possible.
